ECE Welcomes Drs. Bingzhe Li and Hamidreza Nazaripouya
The School of Electrical and Computer Engineering is excited to have hired two outstanding assistant professors: Dr. Bingzhe Li (Left) and Hamidreza Nazaripouya (Right).
Dr. Li received his PhD from the University of Minnesota in the area of Computer Engineering with particular specialization in machine learning, intelligent storage systems, low-cost architectures, and computer evaluation and modeling. His dissertation is entitled “Distributed Edge Computing Infrastructure with Low Hardware Cost, Performance Evaluation, and Reliability.”
Dr. Nazaripouya obtained his PhD from UCLA in the area of Power and Energy, with particular expertise in renewable energy resources, energy storage, electric vehicles, microgrids and power electronics. The title of his PhD dissertation is “Integration and Control of Battery Energy Storage and Inverter to Provide Grid Services.”
Both Dr. Nazaripouya and Li being tremendous amount of talent and knowledge to the School that will benefit our students and advance our research programs. They join ECE’s accomplished faculty of scholars, teachers and researchers. We wholeheartedly welcome them to the ECE team.
